Leadership Ignition
Effective team leadership - develop strong self-leadership skills and enhance your ability to influence others to commit to delivering the desired outcomes!
Being a team leader draws on a vastly different set of skills to being a team member. Despite this important point of difference, most team members who evolve into leadership roles do so with little or no prior management or leadership training, leaving them poorly equipped for their new responsibilities.
Looking for the way forward
For most novice leaders the extra management responsibilities are challenging and highly stressful. These leaders may have a strong desire to succeed but too often they lack the knowledge and tools to support their ambitions. As a result, what should be an exciting step forward in their careers can often spiral into an overwrought sense of losing their way.
Optimising team performance
Wayne understands what it takes for leaders to optimise their team’s performance. For more than 35 years he has proven this time and time again by successfully leading teams in both business and professional sports arenas. Only recently, he led the NRL’s Project Apollo team, which successfully got professional Rugby League in Australia back on the field in record time. In this seminar, Wayne shows other leaders how it is done with his customised leadership ignition programs.
Leadership programs
Wayne has developed a range of powerful team leadership tools, techniques and insights, which he shares in bespoke seminars ranging from one-day formats to multi-day comprehensive packages. Each thoroughly researched and tested program is purpose crafted to suit the nature of the business it is designed to support.
Demonstrating strong self-leadership
Finding the right path to developing and sustaining quality teamwork begins with demonstrating strong self-leadership capabilities. Self-leaders must be self-aware, they must know how to regulate their situational responses (especially under pressure) and they must be capable of thinking and acting optimistically. The good news is that self-leadership ‘must have’ capabilities can all be learned.
Influencing others
With a strong foundation of self-leadership, novice leaders can effectively add the complimentary skillsets necessary to lead others. When it comes to personal and team goals, leaders continually hone their ability to communicate effectively and in doing so, influence and inspire their team to sustain peak performance.
